French Restaurant Opens at The Cole Hotel

Palm Springs, CA

The Cole Hotel, an Uptown Palm Springs gem to local insiders has hosted some incredible pop up restaurants in the past.

These restaurants include the Heyday Palm Springs, now located at the Hilton in Downtown Palm Springs and Biscuit & Counter which will be returning to the Palm Springs Cultural Center as a popup starting this fall.

Now, a new French neighborhood restaurant and bar called Freddie’s Kitchen has opened up at the Coles Hotel and is striving “become your ‘favorite’ place to hang out for great food, cocktails & awesome wines.”  The restaurant is “a modern French Bistro serving fresh, French California cuisine with global flavors.”

Freddie’s Kitchen at The Cole was started by well known Chef Frederic, recently arriving from the small town of Mammoth Lakes Ski Resort. Fred was originally born in the Alsace region of France where he was classically trained and graduated with honors from Lycee Hotelier et Culinairer. He recently moved to Palm Springs to open his restaurant.

Dishes at Freddie’s Kitchen range from traditional Escargot a la Bourguignone and French Onion Soup to Braised Short Rib Rigatoni Bolognaise and Peppered Elk Medallions. For the sweet hearted, Chef Frederick offers French Style Dark Chocolate Mouse and Tahitian Vanilla Bean Creme Brule.

The Restaurant will be open from Wednesday – Sunday 12 noon to 9pm with the bar also opening at noon. Dinner starts at 5pm.
