What our customers are saying

I was drawn in originally for the short rib rigatoni, but the Cassoulet special of the day took me on a new journey I wasn't expecting and didn't know I needed. To say it was the best Cassoulet I ever had would be an understatement. The level of flavors transcend this dish to a level of its own. Every bite was amazing. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that loves food. Every dish is elevated and made with love. You will leave happy! At our last meal of our week vacationing in Palm Springs we had one of our best dinners, at unassuming Freddie's Kitchen. It's casual and friendly, with incredible food from a French Chef, Frederic Peirrel, served by the efficient and super friendly Marco. I loved the mushroom appetizer, Caesar salad and delicious fresh cod followed by a lovely crème brulee. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the offerings. Will definitely return again someday. Estela Puchulu-CampanellaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everything we ordered at Freddie’s was great: escargots, duck, black cod, creme brulee, cocktails and champagne but what made the evening special was an unexpected treat from the chef. He brought us a sample of ratatouille he had made for his wife and wanted to share. It was extraordinary. Since returning to Ohio, we have tried ratatouille again, and nothing has come close. We've been fans of Chef for years, having enjoyed his food at his restaurants in Mammoth Lakes, CA. So we were excited to visit this restaurant during a visit to Palm Springs... and it didn't disappoint. From start to finish, the food was excellent. Our party of 5 enjoyed all the dishes, with favorites being the escargot, French onion soup, and the elk. The service was friendly, attentive, and personable, with Chef checking in on us (and all the other tables) several times. Definitely recommend. Both were great and you must have both. A table near us has the mushroom special and they raved! I had the cod and my husband had the duck. He is never happy when he orders duck; he was happy! Bread pudding for dessert was on point! What a great meal and reasonable prices! This is an experience not to be rushed! This is a small, intimate restaurant with some of the best food I've had in Palm Springs. Chef Freddy is amazing, he's very personable and he's very proud of his cooking and he should be. I think we sampled almost everything on the menu and it was all fantastic. You can't go wrong. The service is also fantastic. One last thing, don't skip the desserts they're all amazing.
