At Freddie’s Kitchen, inclusivity isn’t a trend or a buzzword. It’s the way we live, cook, and serve. It’s in the way we greet our guests, in the way we build our menu, and in the spirit that fills the room every night.
June is Pride Month, and here in Palm Springs, we do more than hang rainbow flags (though we love those, too). We honor the LGBTQ+ community not just in celebration, but in everyday life. Many of our regulars are queer, trans, Black, brown, artists, elders, travelers, locals, and everything in between. They are people. They create our community and are our guests. They bring their stories, laughter, and appetites to our tables. And we are better for it.
Juneteenth is a reminder that freedom, dignity, and visibility must be shared and protected. Food, like freedom, is meant to be savored, passed around, and never gatekept. At Freddie’s, we believe every person deserves to feel seen, safe, and satisfied… and to enjoy fresh, thoughtful food at a fair value. Good food shouldn’t be reserved for the few. It’s something everyone deserves.
Our restaurant, at The Cole Hotel, may be small, but the energy inside is anything but. We see first dates, reunions, loud toasts, quiet reflections. We hear accents from across the globe and share food inspired by a lifetime of travel and love. That’s the magic of diversity. It’s not just about who’s at the table, it’s about the connection they share across it.
So, whether you’re here for a romantic escape, a moment of reflection, or just the world’s best onion soup (humble brag), know this: you belong here.
With pride, with purpose, and with a plate in hand, we look forward to serving you.
