Meet the Chef-Owner Frederic Pierrel
Chef Frederic Pierrel’s path to Freddie’s Kitchen spans continents, kitchens, and decades of experience. Raised and trained in France, he developed a passion for exploring food and tastes at his local markets. This passion grew into a deep respect for culinary discipline early in his career: precision, patience, and an understanding of how flavor develops through technique.
Over time, his perspective widened. Cooking alongside chefs all over the globe, exploring regional markets, and working in mountain towns like Mammoth Lakes, Frederic absorbed influences that continue to shape his work today. His approach balances tradition with curiosity — drawing from French foundations while embracing the ingredients and ideas that inspire him in the moment.
